John Wojcik

John J. Wojcik, 91, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in his home. He was born June 2, 1914 in Chicago, IL and has lived in the area since 1919. John was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in India. He was a member of the Smiths Creek Post #525, American Legion. He was employed at pressed metals of America and retired from Champion Bait Co. John is survived by his longtime companion, Dorothy Jean Snyder; brother Eugene (Genevieve) Wojcik; daughter, Sharon Plumlee; granddaughters, Stacy Sharrow and Shelly Kilbourne; niece Darla Vansach; sister-in-law, Gloria Wojcik; cousin, Ted (Edna) Wojcik; many grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald F. Britz will officiate. Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
