Margaret Hawkins

Margaret E. Hawkins, 83, of Port Huron died Friday September 1, 2006 in Rochester Hills following a long illness. Margaret was born August 4, 1923 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Richert. She married James B. Hawkins. He preceded her in death in 1988. Margaret is survived by her cousins, Julie (Cliff) Adams of Rochester Hills; Marilyn Johnson of Port Huron; Larry Richard of Ft. Gratiot; Barbara (Chuck) Mosier of Presque Isle, MI and Gloria (Ron) Steinberg of Stanwood, MI. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Memorials in Margaret's memory may be given to Blue Water Hospice.
