Olga Leach

Olga Rose Leach, 75, died unexpectedly September 5, 2006 in her home. She was born January 30, 1931 in Port Huron to the late John and Mary Gombos. Olga was a long time faithful member of St. Stephen Church. She was a retired Registered Nurse with 27 years of service working in the Orthopedic, Cardiac Care and Intensive Care departments of Port Huron Hospital. She is survived by three daughters, Donna (James) Howard and Deborah Burkart (Charles Dewey), both of Port Huron and Cynthia (Douglas) Fiedler of Grand Ledge; two sons, Charles (Kimberly) Clute of Long Island, NY and Donn (Iris) Clute of Portland TN; eleven grandchildren, nine great granchildren; a sister Betty Trainello (Ron Theirry) of Ypsilanti, a brother, Paul (Deanna) Gombos of North Street and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Don Clute and Robert Leach, her brothers, George, Charles and John Flora and her sisters, Mary Block, Ann Rahaim, Elizabeth Matthewson and Dorothy Flora Funeral services for Olga will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stephen Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher, Pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home where there will be a Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Jim Howard, Jr., Nicholas and Nathan Clute, George and Chris Grady and Matthew Fiedler. Memorials in Olga's memory may be made to the Mid-city Nutrition Program.
