Harold Langrill

Harold Pershing Langrill, of Port Huron, Michigan died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Port Huron Hospital, after complications following heart bypass surgery. Harold was born December 24, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Herbert Nelson and Mary Ann Duchene Langrill. He married Mary Edna Hert on August 14, 1941. She pre-deceased him in 1990. He married Betty Bowron on March 21, 1992. She survives him. Harold was a skilled sheet metal fabricator and was owner of H. N. Langrill Company in Detroit. He had a life long love of music as soloist, choir director and choir member and was a member of the Orpheus Club of Detroit. He was a choir member, elder and deacon at the Lakeshore Presbyterian Church in Fort Gratiot and was active many years in the Gideons. Harold is survived by son, Lawrence (Larry) Nelson Langrill and wife, Jean, of Midland, Michigan; daughter Linda Langrill of Midland; stepson Eljay Bryce Bowron and wife Sandy of Westlake, Ohio; stepdaughter Karen Bowron Meshew and husband, Chuck of Ft. Gratiot; and stepdaughter-in-law Nancy Bowron of New Baltimore, Michigan. Also grandchildren Rebekah, Martha and Benjamin Langrill, Deborah (Jason) Beaudoin, David and Christina Druskins, stepgrandchildren Meghann Meshew, Brandon Bowron, Chris (Karen) Bowron, and Carrie Dooley. Harold was predeceased by infant daughter Mary Ann Langrill and stepson Jackson Bowron. Visitation will be at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home in Port Huron Monday, March 5 from 7 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 6 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Memorial service on Wednesday, March 7 at 11 a.m. at Lakeshore Presbyterian Church, Fort Gratiot, Michigan with visitation one hour prior to the service.
