Stuart Johnston

Port Huron- Stuart L. Johnston,70, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Mercy Hospital. He was born January 15, 1938 in Port Huron, son of the late William and Margaret (Waterbury) Johnston and has been a life long area resident. Stuart married Mary Ann Condland in 1962 in Port Huron. He retired as a Tool & Die Maker from TRW and served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed camping, helping family and friends and cruising in his 1957 Chevy. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann of Port Huron; son, Terry Johnston of Port Huron; brother-in-law, Jim (Nora) Condland of Fort Gratiot; sister-in-law, Marge Condland of Kimball and several nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Deacon John Connors of Holy Trinity Church will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Stuart may be given to the wishes of the family.
