Bernard 'Bernie' Mouilleseaux

May 3rd, 1937 to May 26th, 2008


On May 26, 2008, Bernard (Bernie) L. Mouilleseaux, 71, died after a long and hard fought battle with heart disease. Born in Mt. Clemens to William & Lillian Mouilleseaux, he spent most of his adult life as a truck driver and mechanic. He was the owner and operator of Emergency Reefer and Truck Repair and Krafft Road Table and Chair Rental. He married Nedra Widmer on May 26, 1962. Their marriage was one of mutual respect, dedication and undeniable love. Bernie and Nedra had three children: Rick, Sandy and Bill. Together with friends and family, they enjoyed many, many weekends on top of Ox Mountain in Atlanta, Michigan snowmobiling and canoeing. Bernie is survived by his wife, Nedra and their three children and spouses: Rick and Vicki Mouilleseaux, Ed and Sandy Morden and Bill and Anissa Mouilleseaux. The four brightest spots in his life were his 4 grandchildren: Paige, Ellen, Matt and Katie. He was so happy to be able to see them grow to adulthood. Also surviving Bernie are three brothers, Bill Mouilleseaux (Dorothy Frye), Donald Mouilleseaux and Ray Mouilleseaux, twin sisters, June & Willie Sievert, Jean and Sam Ruggerillo, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Nancy Wellman and soon-to-be grandson-in-law, Ryan Thrushman. There are also many very dear nieces, nephews and too many lifelong friends to mention. You know who you are and how much Bernie loved you. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Tony and Bob and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mouilleseaux, Delores Mouilleseaux and Shirley Mouilleseaux. Bernies presence will be missed but, he lives on in the faces and hearts of his children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Visiting hours are 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the wishes of the family.
