Joann Whybrew

Joann G. Whybrew, 75, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 in her home.

She was born April 2, 1935 in Port Huron. She married Charles H. Whybrew on June 8, 1953 in Port Huron.

Joann was a 1953 graduate of St. Stephens High School. She was active at St. Marys Grade School when her children were young. She was involved in the Port Huron Minor Hockey Assoc. She was employed at Sears and later at HRH Insurance retiring in 1998 after 20 years of service. Joann was an avid shopper and loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Charles H. Whybrew of Port Huron; son, Richard C. (Vicki) Whybrew of Port Richey, FL; daughters, Victoria K. (Dennis) Doan of Port Huron and Jeanne M. (Ted) Dixon of Port Huron; grandchildren, , Anthony C. (Anna) Whybrew of Croswell and Niclas C. Doan of Port Huron, Danielle N. Dixon of Port Huron, Matthew (Cathy) Mills of Marysville and Kim (Mark) Neff of Port Richey, FL; great grandchildren, Austin C., Aiden C. and Abigail G. Whybrew of Croswell, Dylan and Morgan Neff of Croswell and Carson Mills of Marysville; sister, Sharon R. Snyder of Port Huron; niece Kellie (Steve) Gibbs of Port Huron; grand niece, Allysa Gibbs of Port Huron; grand nephew Chad Gibbs of Port Huron; several cousins and many friends.

Visiting hours will be 6-9 pm. Thursday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held during the evening visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the charity of the donors choice.
