Martin W Prevost
November 27th, 1958 to November 16th, 2013
Martin Wayne Prevost, 54, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Marty’s first love, baseball, began at a young age. He learned to strike out the best and put a sting to any catcher’s hand.
Marty had a love for music, and the left hander learned to play guitar, right handed, like no one else.
Marty spoke fondly of adolescence with friends, coaches, and a loving extended family and cousins.
At Washington Middle School Marty met his true first love, Debbie Smith.
Marty lived his life with gusto, humor, and tenacity. Whether playing music with Straight Shooter Band, his sales career, coaching, playing softball, golf or bowling. Marty lived whole heartedly.
He was a friend anyone could count on, even if you just met him. He was a loving husband, exceptional father, and an indescribable Papa. Marty was the light of their lives and his spirit lives on in his children and grandchildren.
Marty fought his cancer with courage and learned to live to the fullest.
We must learn to smile, laugh, and live on so our lives become the bright light his was.
Marty is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie; daughter, Jennifer (Wesley) Peyerk, son, Martin (Dana) Prevost, son, Matthew (Kelsie) Prevost; grandchildren, Jenevieve, Cole, Paisley, and Joslyn Peyerk, Faith and Charlie Prevost; parents, Richard and Joan Prevost; mother-in-law, Barbara Smith; brothers, Joe (Debbie) Prevost and Mike (Jan) Prevost; a large extended family, and many very dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Leonard Smith.
