Julie Ann Giardini

Julie Ann Giardini, 23, of Port Huron, died June 21, 2006 unexpectedly following a long illness. She was born on January 21, 1983 in Detroit, Michigan. Julie Ann loved many things including God, fishing, writing, doing artwork, animals and spending time with her family and friends. She loved helping people less fortunate. Her special name given to her by her Grandmother was "Star". Julie Ann is survived by her mother and step-father, Michelle M. (Doug) Fleming of Lakeport; father, Gregory L. Giardini, Jr of Clearwater, Fl; sister Christina M. Giardini (fiancee' John Sand) of Lakeport; step-sister, Erica Fleming of Warrenton, VA; grandparents, James and Paula Szolack of Ft. Gratiot, Gregory and Marilyn Giardini, Sr of Florida and Garth and Joan Fleming of Fort Gratiot; step- great grandparents Charles and Maxine Kamendat of Port Huron; aunt, Chrisanne (Uncle Doug) Prokuda of Clinton Twp; uncles Thomas (Aunt Sandy) Prokuda of Ray Twp and Marco Giardini of Grand Rapids; step-uncle, Mark Fleming; aunt, Gina (Rick) Gregorio of FL; cousins, Steven and Haley Prokuda of Ray, MI; cat, Buddy; dog, Kiki; very special friends Harry and Dave and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her great-grandma Toni Zangara. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas F. Esper, Senior Priest will officiate. Visiting hours are 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the Julie Giardini Asthma and Allergy Management Foundation is currently being set up.
