Lorraine Denczek

Mrs. Lorraine Marie Denczek, 91, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in Marwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a long illness. Mrs. Denczek was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Fargo, N. D., to the late Dr. Napoleon A., and Mary Chagnon. The Chagnon family moved to the Tip of Michigan's Thumb at Port Austin where Dr. Chagnon was a long-time prominent physician for more than 50 years. Mrs. Denczek was the widow of Joseph H. Denczek, who died April 2, 1992, in Port Huron. The Denczek family were long time residents of Port Huron. Mrs. Denczek is survived by two sons, Nap John and (Sandi) Denczek of Summerfield, Fl., and Joe and (Colleen) Denczek of Fenton, MI.; and two daughters, Mrs.Joan L. and (John F. "Jerry") Brown of Siesta Key, Fl., and Mrs.Chere M. and (William) Wasco of Brandenton, Fl., and 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Verdun Chagnon, of Tawas, MI., Mrs. Denczek was preceeded in death by five brothers, Herman, Gaston, John, Robert and Rollin Chagnon, and two sisters, Mrs.Venice Ornowski and Mrs. Justine Casper. Memorial services for Mrs. Denczek will be held at a later date in Port Austin, MI. Cremation arrangements are by the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Marwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in memory of Mrs. Denczek.
